About me
Dee Brastad is an experienced multilingual education leader in Washington public schools, with 14 years of teaching and leadership experience in general and dual language education. Starting as a K-12 ELP assessment coordinator, she has taught and advocated with culturally and linguistically diverse staff, students, and families as an ML teacher, facilitator, curriculum specialist, and program administrator. Dee's coaching approaches focus on reflection of individual praxis and achieving professional goals by strengthening innovative teaching practices. Her expertise in English language development (ELD) instruction and coaching has been key to reaching student language proficiency goals and creating inclusive learning environments that benefit the entire teaching and learning community.
