About me
Yvonne Williams, Vice President of Educator Engagement at WCEPS, leads initiatives to empower educators and foster collaboration with Local Education Agencies (LEAs). With over 29 years of experience, she oversees a team of 35 coaches supporting schools nationwide in implementing WCEPS programs, emphasizing multilingual learners and lasting educational growth.
As a former English learner who immigrated from Chihuahua, Mexico, at age 5, Yvonne's journey fuels her dedication to equity in education. She has worked across all grade levels, advocating for multilingual learners and their families. At WIDA, she spent three years as a Professional Learning Specialist and developed a nationally recognized coaching program at WCEPS to provide ongoing, impactful support for educators.
A first-generation college graduate, Yvonne holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Angelo State University and a master’s in Bilingual Education from NOVA Southeastern University, with additional endorsements in TESL and Bilingual Education. She lives in Washington State with her husband and takes pride in raising two accomplished sons.
